 ABSTRACT :Huge demand for new services in cellular systems led engineers and professionals to improve networks and magnetisms to achieve people needs and improve their work.

UMTS is one of the most important steps in cellular systems that motivate us to study its concepts and characteristic and try to simulate them by Matlab GUIs.

In our project we focus on the characteristics of the UMTS and the most important cosepts that differ from second generation of mobile system which is CDMA, HANDOVER and POWER CONTROLE
